CAO Brazilia Cigar Review
I remember reviewing this cigar once before but it turns out I have reviewed this cigar twice before. Those two reviews were on the Samba vitola (6 ¼” x 54) but this one is on the Gol! (5” x 56), so it should provide some valuable information for you. This cigar was given to me by Cigars Direct.
Chubby cigar with a decent sheen of oils on it. The wrapper is dark with a multitude of little white specs. There are a couple of holes; one rather largish. A bunch of thin veins span the distance of the cigar. Fairly tightly packed.

Maloof Fire!
Starts out very well. Earth, chocolate and spice are the troika that makes up the flavors in the beginning. Those flavors add on a meaty flavor after an inch or two. Some saltiness too.
It is not a very powerful cigar but I would still peg it as being full bodied. Well, medium-full bodied. The flavors are quite nice; most CAO cigars are pretty good in my estimation. The draw is good and so is the burn. Those holes that I told you about haven’t hurt the performance of the cigar.
Flavors are very lively. Maybe a little too much on the bitter side for my taste but it is definitely a very enjoyable cigar. Just as I wrote that it got a little bitterer. It’s quickly approaching the Rubicon of being too bitter.
It is a consistently good cigar and, fortunately enough, it never passed that Rubicon. Solid flavors and very enjoyable. Pick some

CAO Brazilia Samba Cigar Review
I smoked one of these a while ago and did a review on it. Here’s what I had to say about it:
-
I have to say that these flavors are not all that strong. If I am smoking a great cigar the flavors will just flood my mouth. This isn’t the case here. The flavors here are very subtle. Also, halfway through this cigar becomes more full bodied, however, it isn’t solidly full bodied yet.
-
Three quarters of the way through and the draw unfortunately worsens. That means the flavors weaken even more and, overall, the cigar just gets worse. I just didn’t like this one all that much.

Fortunately, this one was better. Here’s the review:
It has a little amount of oil on the wrapper. Very black wrapper. The construction looks good and I am having Wild Turkey and a glass bottle of Coke along with this cigar.

Miss America Flame!
Notes of coffee and chocolate. Some spice. It has a great draw. There’s also an earthiness to this cigar. These flavors are good and true.
I am also getting this modicum of sweetness an inch in. There is also a welcomed bitterness here that moderates the slight sweetness.
The coffee is not that strong; it’s almost like it tastes like watered-down black coffee. This is a medium-full bodied cigar. When I retrohale the smoke I do get peppery notes.
It is burning evenly. The earthiness has almost completely gone away. The main flavor, thankfully, is coffee halfway through. Another plus is that it burns very slowly. Swimsuits – YEAH! Go Miss Iowa! (Yes, I was watching the Miss America pageant and, unfortunately, my pick lost.)
The last third the pepper really comes through. Good, evolving flavors. I like it a lot more than the previous one.

Reviews from others:
At epinions.com it gets 4.5/5 stars. One reviewer said “The most important part of a cigar is, of course, the flavor, and with this the Brazilia does not falter. This is a very rich and powerful cigar that I would not recommend for the weak of palliate. The flavor is overwhelming in its aroma of bitter chocolate, cedar, and espresso coffee. As you smoke the cigar it actually richens and becomes bitter in a pleasant way that I can best describe as the bitterness you would find in a good cup of coffee.”
Mombu.com gave this cigar a B and had some problems with the burn and did not like the strength of this cigar.
Mike Salsbury gave it 7.5/10 points and said “The flavor was a bit intense in the first half inch or so, then mellowed out a bit. The smoke was very thick and white, visible all the way from my mouth to the ceiling. My wife found the aroma of the smoke pleasant, as did I. Nevertheless, she asked me to close the sliding glass door to the house while I sat on the screened-in porch smoking it with a beer (the “Grotten Brown” Belgian Ale that Michael Jackson the beer expert rated the best of 2005). The flavor to me was very good, with a hint of a pleasing leathery taste and a very light peppery touch to it. A couple of unintentional breaths of the smoke into my lungs (I normally do not inhale the smoke into my lungs, like – I gather – most of you) were tolerable and didn’t make me want to cough like many cigars do. I got a mild “buzz” off the CAO Brazilia Samba, far less than I did from the Perdomo Reserve Cabinet Series I had last week in Florida, but noticeable (and no, I’m sure it wasn’t the beer).”
CAO Brazilia Samba Cigar Review
One of the things I try to do when doing a cigar review is tell you what I think without being biased by something I have heard or read. This can be difficult because if you go into a cigar knowing that others think very highly of it you will be thinking that that cigar will be very good. Hopefully I do not fall into that trap and I think that this will be an example of that. Onto the review.
Dark cigar with very little oil, which is a point of concern. It does look perfect though. I am drinking Wild Turkey, a Cherry Coke and some water to cleanse my palate. Just to let you know my frame of mind going into this cigar I know that this is supposed to be a very good cigar and full bodied.

Go Fire!
Odd draw. It’s almost like the outer ring of this cigar has a tight draw but there is a good draw in the center of the cigar. Never had that happen before. Overall the cigar has a decent draw.
I am getting an earthy flavor with some spice. I may also be getting some wood notes as well. This is a medium-full bodied cigar.
About an inch in the draw opens up a little bit. The spice is trying to take over but the earthiness is still very strong.
