601 Blue Band Short Cigar Review
August 14, 2009 · Posted in Asides, Short Cigar Review
Pre-Smoke: If Don Pepin Garcia makes a cigar then it is worth a try or two. The wrapper and the construction are both perfect with the wrapper having some oils. There is a slight box press for this cigar.
Smoke: Sweetness is the first thing that pops into my mind and then it pops back out. There’s some spice and leathery flavors along with some toasty flavors. It is a medium-full bodied cigar with a slightly tight draw and a decent burn.
After-Smoke: It’s a good cigar. The flavors are above average and there is some complexity to it.

I'm smoking another one of these right now reading along my review all along.
The one thing that I'm noticing that is different about this one from the other one is that there is a strong cocoa flavor that is coming through. Cocoa and dirt. The spice and the leather are still there and the sweetness is sticking around longer than before.
Actually, the dirt and cocoa flavors are the strongest ones. This just goes to show how much variation there can be in cigars. I still think that it is worthy of 3 points though.
